PIK Becej Buys Factory for Processing and Storage of Vegetables ABC Food

The company PIK Becej, one of the leading agricultural companies in Serbia, which operates within MK Group, has bought the factory ABC Food. According to the press release, this is a factory for the processing and storage of vegetables in Ruski Krstur. One of the key goals of this investment is for PIK Becej, in a synergy with the existing resources, to expand its processing and storage capacities.

– This purchase is a strategic merger with the factory Flora, because our goal is to expand its capacities. When the company Flora was bought in 2016 by MK Group, it was in bankruptcy proceedings, as is the case now with ABC Food. Through daily efforts and work, we have managed to turn Flora into a modern factory, which, through constant upgrades and investments in the production lines, equipment and infrastructure, has become a company which exports its products to over 30 countries of the world – said Milos Mijovic, General Manager of PIK Becej and CEO of MK Agriculture.

As he added, MK Group plans to reconstruct and invest in the facilities at ABC Food, and with the successes we’ve achieved with Flora so far, success is expected from this purchase as well, the press release says.
