Sustainable Construction – Leading Local Experts at BuildUp Conference

The BuildUp conference is an excellent opportunity to establish valuable B2B contacts, but also to learn about the future trends in the construction industry.

At this year’s conference BuildUp 2022 – Powered by TECE, which is held on November 16 at the Yugoslav Film Archive under the slogan “Sustainable, Because It’s Unbearable”, numerous professionals from the local and regional practices will speak.

The lecturers and the panelists will share their experiences and solutions from the domains of sustainable architecture, construction and business operations.

Four burning issues will be the center of attention:

– regeneration and reconstruction of old buildings;
– sustainability and flexibility of office facilities;
– employment and human resources in the construction industry;
– energy efficiency of family houses.

Top lecturers

Dean Lah of the Slovenian studio ENOTA will be the keynote speaker. Within his presentation, he will talk about the holistic approach: a synergy of sustainability, economy and architecture.

In their lecture, Lazar Kuzmanov and Aleksandar Kovjanic will talk about the case study of the reconstruction of the Radnicki Univerzitet building in Novi Sad, and the expert team of AFI Europe Serbia will share with us the details of the designing and construction of Skyline AFI Tower in Belgrade.

Marija Simeunovic will hold an attractive lecture about how to form teams which last, whereas Predrag Milosavljevic will talk about the study of the construction of the first house made of hemp.

Panel discussions

Igor Conic will moderate the panel on the regeneration and renovation of old buildings. He will be joined by Ivana Letic (Delta Real Estate), Dusica Totic and Marko Korosec (Remorker Architects), as well as Dragana Konstantinovic (Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad).

Vesna Krizmanic will moderate the panel on the sustainability and flexibility of office facilities. She will be joined by Jovana Cvetkovic (MPC Properties), Jelena Jolovic (Novaston), as well as Slavko Bingulac (Sirius Offices).

Miljan Mikic will moderate the discussion about the challenges of employment and team development in the construction industry. The participants in this panel are Rada Andjelic (Energoprojekt), Lela Alempijevic (Studio Zabriskie) and Tatjana Beatovic (Modulor).

Dejan Mitov will moderate the panel on the energy efficiency of family houses. He will be joined by Andjela Karabasevic (AKVSArhitektura), Predrag Milutinovic (MAPA Architects) and Miroljub Stankovic (KontraStudio).
