Tatjana Matic to Head Development Fund of Serbia

The former minister of trade, tourism and telecommunications of Serbia, Tatjana Matic, will be the new director of the Development Fund of Serbia, as confirmed for the Danas daily.

Matic, as Danas reports, was a member of the Management Board of the Development Fund, and she should succeed Sladjana Backovic as the director. Backovic currently has the status of the acting director.

Before becoming a minister, Matic was appointed state secretary at the Ministry of Trade in May 2014, and she was also a member of the Coordination Body for the EU Accession Process, where she dealt with the questions of the rights of founding and freedom of provision of services and the information society and media.

During the rule of the Democratic Party, between 2007 and 2012, she was secretary at the Minister of Labor, and before that, for a short time, she led the cabinet of the Coordination Center of Serbia and Montenegro for Kosovo and Metohija.
