Univerexport market chain registered RSD 12 billion worth of revenue in 2010 - Investment worth about EUR 5 million in 2011

Univerexport invested over 5 million euros in the business and had its retail space expanded by 30% in 2010. As people at that trade company announced, new investments are in the pipeline for 2011 and won't be any smaller than last year.

- Univerexport registered a revenue of over RSD 12 billion in 2010, while the revenue of the whole business system exceeded RSD 16 billion. Univerexport's plans for the next year include expansion of the retail network in the domestic market and expansion of socially responsible work and cooperation with local community - reads the statement.

According to the statement, one of the greatest business successes is opening of a trade center in Belgrade, as well as employment of over 300 people.

- This year, the process of selection for all levels of positions was carried out on the basis of 13,500 applied candidates, while 40 people were promoted on the basis of internal competitions. Within the scope of the First Chance project, Univerexport gave trainees an opportunity to work for the company, while 20 young people got jobs in several sectors of the company. During 2010, 9 people with a disability were employed, and that number is going to be increased in accordance with the needs and growth of the number of employees - reads the statement.

In addition to an increase in the number of employees, strengthening of the internal network of trainers and educational programs through contemporary Training Center is also in the pipeline.


One of significant business successes of the company is the development of Univerexport's trademark named Bas Bas, which won the statue and the official Best From Serbia award in late 2010. Univerexport's affiliate Backa meat industry won the silver award for the media campaign of the year, as well as for the print campaign of the year.

Another great success in 2010 is 16,000 happy children in the nursery schools Radosno Detinjstvo in Novi Sad and Mladost in Backa Palanka who got New Year's gifts from Univerexport.
