Black Horse FAS Returns to Market with Production of Half a Million Batteries a Year – New Jobs Planned Too

The only local producer of batteries, Black Horse FAS from Sombor, which has existed for seven decades now, is coming back to the market, following bankruptcy proceedings and a halt in production activities, with a production capacity of half a million batteries a year. As announced, the company has 135 employees, and the plan is to create new jobs and produce batteries for construction and industrial machines.

According to Petar Miljkovic, the director of Black Horse FAS, whose co-owner is the Czech company CE Industries, “the strategy of improving market competitiveness envisages new jobs, the employment of young experts, engineers”.

– We have signed an agreement with the Faculty of Technical Sciences. In addition to that, we plan to introduce new products and to produce batteries for construction and industrial machines – Miljkovic points out.

As he said, in addition to Serbia, these batteries can also be found in the markets of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Italy, Poland, Armenia, Russia, Germany and France.
