Republic of Korea Third Biggest Economic Partner of Serbia in Asia-Pacific Region

The improvement of the overall cooperation, with a special focus on the economy, was the topic of the meeting between the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the special envoy of the Government of the Republic of Korea and the president and CEO of the KIA Corporation, Ho-sung Song.

Other topics at the meeting included the development of cooperation in high-tech and the automotive industry, as well as the arrival of new Korean investors to the Republic of Serbia, according to the website predsednik.rs.

Vucic pointed out that the Republic of Korea was the third biggest economic partner of Serbia in the Asia-Pacific Region and that the company Yura Serbia, with investments of EUR 100 million up till then, was the eighth biggest Serbian exporter.


The special envoy of the Government of the Republic of Korea, Ho-sung Song, praised the business environment and the favorable conditions for investments in Serbia, which had a direct impact on the increase of the foreign investment inflow.
