Construction of Kragujevac - Batočina highway section through allotment of concessions ?

Velimir Ilić, Minister of Capital Investments of Serbia, announced that the Ministry would pay about 200 million CSD for road infrastructure of Kragujevac in 2005.

Republic Directorate for Roads will finance completion of project documentation for construction of part of Kragujevac - Batočina highway. Czech Republic has, so far, paid about € 500,000 for design of documentation. Amount of €150,000 was approved for design of feasibility study, whereas the same amount was approved for design of complex technical solutions in this project, as well as cloverleaf issue. As soon as aforementioned documentation is completed, the tender for selection of contractor will be announced.

Minister Ilić announced that he would back the initiative of citizens of Kragujevac to have highway built through allotment of concessions, but, there were, as he said, other, better solutions.
