Cut Collecting App Enables Citizens to Recycle Waste – Agreements Signed with Several Municipalities
– The way the app functions is that the users apply by registering, which enables them to use the services. You need to collect the plastic that you would have thrown away and put it in bags, and we would later provide our bags. Each time you fill up a bag, you can call our recycler, who will come and pick up the plastic. When they do so, you get points which you can use at a gift shop – he explains.
Cut Collecting has signed agreements with several municipalities in Vojvodina, which will be pilot municipalities, adds Marija Krstin from the company:
– Sombor, Zitiste, Kula, Odzaci and Secanj, and the plan is for the app to first be tested in Odzaci, and then implemented in Sombor.
In line with the policy of the European Union, within the process of accession to the EU, Serbia has adopted the Waste Management Program for 2021-2031, which aims to improve the system of municipal waste management through an increased recycling rate to 35% by 2030.
