Gorenje Valjevo Factory to Increase Capacity to 1.7 Million Devices a Year – Production at New Facility to Start in Early 2023

The company Gorenje today announced that it was increasing its production capacity at the cooling device factory in Valjevo.

The production capacity of the factory in Valjevo is now 960,000 cooling devices a year, whereas, following the construction of the Valjevo 3 factory, it will be raised to 1.7 million devices.

The production of the latest-generation refrigerators will be launched at Gorenje’s factory in Valjevo in early 2023, and the works on the construction of a new facility, which will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, are in progress at the moment.

With the construction of the Valjevo 3 facility and the increase of production capacities, Serbia will be 6th among the world’s biggest exporters of refrigerators, and it is currently 14h.

Around 200 million refrigerators are sold annually in the world, and according to the WITS report of the World Bank, the world’s biggest exporters of refrigerators and freezers are China, Mexico and Poland.

Gorenje has been operating in Valjevo for 16 years, and it will employ nearly 3,000 workers following the opening of a new factory.
