Serbian Energy Minister, Petar Škundric, said today that according the analysis of prices, electricity should be raised for 13.7%, in 2011 .

He said that the Serbian government would consider over the next few days the issue of electricity price.

Skundric estimated that possible rise of electricity price won't have a major impact on inflation, because it will enable investment in power energy and employment of people.

- It is important to undertake harmonization of prices in the energy sector because the "Power of Serbia" (EPS) is the largest investor in Serbia, since it has invested in the past few years between 350 and 500 million euros per year - he said.

Skundric said that the investments from EPS could affect the strengthening of the overall growth of economy of Serbia and the intensification of economic activity.

He also said that EPS was currently involved in the collection of debts from major debtors.

- If we manage to collect all receivables, we could provide significant resources for investment of "Electric Power Industry of Serbia " - said the Serbian Energy Minister Petar Skundric.
