Kopaonik to Get Snowboarding Park and Wider Ski Tracks – Nearly EUR 1 Million Set Aside for Development
The works should be done as a turnkey project, and their value has been estimated at RSD 115,000,000 without the VAT, or nearly around EUR 1 million.
Aside from being able to provide a service of optimal quality to skiers, the Kopaonik Ski Center needs to expand and level the existing ski tracks and build new features such as a snowboarding park and lighting along the Krst ski lift, the snowboard park and the connection to the exit station of the Krst ski lift, the technical specification emphasizes.
– In order to increase the comfort of the users and unload the existing tracks, thereby improving the functionality and safety at the ski resort, the plan entails the leveling of the ski track Pancic – 4D, the removal of non-functional snowboarding ramps on the ski track Pancic, which is to be used by skiers in the future, the forming of a connection from the exist station of the Krst ski lift to the route of the gas pipeline toward the Treska track, the construction of a snowboarding park in the location between the Krst ski lift and the Malo Jezero ski track, the expansion of the artificial snowing system for the purposes of covering the park with snow and the preparation of lighting for the Krst ski lift and the track at the snowboard park, as well as the track from the park to the exit station of the Krst ski lift, with the accompanying technical documentation.

For the purposes of recreational and tournament snowboarding, it is necessary to prepare the required technical documentation for the execution of works and to build a snowboarding park, the documentation clarifies.
The area planned for the construction of the park is located between the Krst ski lift and the Malo Jezero ski track and has dimensions of roughly 300 x 70 m. The necessary features, entailing a minimum of three ramps, such as would meet the requirements for tournaments, while also being at the necessary distance for the safety of the snowboarders, should be planned in said location. If said location allows for it, a higher number of ramps can be planned.
The deadlines for the preparation of the technical documentation for each job individually is 25 days, and for the execution of the works, it is 90 days individually, per type of job.
