Gebrüder Weiss is expanding its partnership with Toyota Motor in Kazakhstan. From this year, the provider of logistics services has taken over the distribution of spare parts for the dealers of the Japanese car manufacturer in Almaty, the largest city in the country. The existing services include the transport of cars in Kazakhstan, daily deliveries of components in Almaty and warehouse logistics.
The market in Kazakhstan is very important for Toyota. In 2021, the car manufacturer sold around 14,000 vehicles in this market – which is a share of around 12% in the national automotive industry market.

– We want to continue developing in Kazakhstan. For that, we need a reliable partner for logistics, which is well familiar with the local situation. Gebrüder Weiss provides us with high-quality services for over a decade – stated Damira Alpysbayeva, Logistics Manager at Toyota Motor Kazakhstan.
As the most important trade partner of Central Asia, Kazakhstan is also an attractive market for the growth of companies from Germany and Austria. The goods exported from Austria include pharmaceutical products, machines, metering equipment, paper and metal goods, which are mostly used in the oil industry.
Gebrüder Weiss has been operating in Kazakhstan since 2007 and has acquired the reputation of a reliable provider of logistics services for industry and commerce. The offer of services includes road transport (including multimodal transport), air and sea goods transport, customs clearance, warehouse logistics and supply chain management.

Central logistics center on New Silk Road
Kazakhstan is becoming increasingly important as a key point on the New Silk Road. The state also uses its favorable geographic position, which makes Kazakhstan an ideal center for the trade of Chinese goods in Europe and West Asia. Gebrüder Weiss also manages locations along the New Silk Road in Turkey, Georgia, Armenia, Uzbekistan and China.
