Construction of Tourist Car-Camp Planned Near Nova Varos (PHOTO)

In the village of Radijevici in Nova Varos, the plan is to landscape the space in the function of a tourist car-camp with the installation of accompanying features.

The development of a parcel is planned, with the condition of maintaining the high quality of the living environment, with secured servicing points for the daily stay of the visitors, namely parking spaces for car-campers – camping houses of wheels and camping trailers and places for tents; secured sanitary-hygienic conditions at the sanitary blocks and shower booths planned within the canopy-lookout, places for rest with screens, children’s playgrounds, baskets and containers for solid waste and other accompanying street furniture, to the end of developing the tourism and presenting the protected area.

The minimum capacity of this camp is 15 camping spaces. Due to the configuration of the terrain and the creation of adequate conditions for parking, the area of one car camping and camping trailer space is cca 70 m2, and a tent area is cca 30 m2.

The total area of the space for the development of the camp in this zone – II degree natural good protection regime and the narrow zone of sanitary protection of waters (zone II) is 2,957 m2.

Within the camp, it is mandatory to install mobile or prefabricated sanitary blocks and shower booths. That sanitary block is planned within the canopy which has the function of a lookout. The lookout area features the reception desk space for the campers.

The natural fund of this part of the parcel, which is very modest, should be enriched and expanded with green grass areas, autochthonous shrubbery by the local road, deciduous and evergreen trees at the parking spaces for the campers.

An access road within the camp, 6 meters wide and covered with stone grit, partially paved by stone plates, with an entrance and an exit to the public, local road, is planned at the camp.

On both sides of the access road, parking spaces for car campers and car trailers are planned. The parking of other passenger vehicles is possible only if the parking spaces for car campers are free.

Access to the car camp is strictly controlled, as is the use of the lookout for tourists who enjoy rafting down the Uvac Lake and who take walks around the lake down the developed pedestrian lanes.

A part of the space is planned for tents, a children’s playground with street furniture, benches and a pre-fabricated lookout facility with a sanitary block.

To the end of protecting all the varieties of birds and bats, the car camp will be lit by a light source directed at the ground, without strong light sources, ads, lasers, rotating floodlights and similar light sources which are directed at the sky.

The camp will be controlled by guards with strictly proscribed rules of conduct at the camp.

The investor is a private person, and the urban project was prepared by the agency Dina Projekt from Prijepolje.
