Koh Chang Island near Sremski Karlovci - "Thai" island which will amaze you if you like exploring and wish to escape the crowd (PHOTO)

For them, but also for everyone who likes to explore and do a bit of "legwork" in order to enjoy themselves, the right place is the island near Sremski Karlovci, officially called Karlovacka Ada, but you will hear people calling it Koh Chang, Monkey Island, or Maldives.
What ties it to Thailand? Well, certainly the white, fine sand, on a wide coast. And that's the first thing that will greet and delight you when you step off the boat. Because this is exactly how you reach the island - by taxi boats that transport you from the shore below the chard near the famous Dunav Hotel, where you can also enjoy it before or after the ride.

The water is cleaner than, for example, Lido in Zemun or Strand in Novi Sad. Warm, with a shallow and gradual transition to the deep. Wet sand is ideal for the unavoidable construction of sandcastles.
The beach is also suitable for landing with your own speedboats or boats.
Once you get tired of the sun, there is a wooded area, where the campsites are hidden, with tents, makeshift houses, barbecue area, swings. There is also a bar here, where you can drink coffee, beer, cocktails, and the specialty of Srem - spritzer. Parties are often organized here, and the evening music from the campsites confirms that fun is guaranteed.

Important information: due to the newly built railway infrastructure, the turn for the hotel and the river is no longer the same. Actually, only pedestrians can go here, and if you are going by car and arriving from the direction of Belgrade, you have to continue straight from that place and the old railway station, all the way to the sign showing you where to turn. From the direction of Novi Sad, one has to turn earlier than before, i.e. the road no longer leads through the center of Sremski Karlovci.
We highly recommend you explore this place, we are certain you will enjoy it. Have a great time!
