After more than 40 years, milk and dairy products will be exported to Saudi Arabia. Fruits and vegetables can also be exported without hindrance, whereas permits for the export of sheep and beef are expected in the coming 20 days, as per the Government's official website.

The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Branislav Nedimovic, met with representatives of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, who officially informed him that Serbia was placed on the list of approved food exporters to that country.

The possibility of exporting Serbian food to this high-paying market presents an excellent opportunity for our producers, especially in a situation when food prices reach record levels.

The value of the current exchange of allowed products between the two countries grows every year and only last year it has reached the amount of USD 9 million, whereas in the first six months of 2022 it has already reached the level of USD 6 million.
