Bathing in Aqua park in Block 44 in Novi Beograd – starting from July 1, 2006

Construction of the “aqua city“ in Block 44 goes as planned and the opening is expected on July 1st, 2006. These days, the roof is being installed for numerous boutiques, clinics and stores where food, souvenirs and other interesting things will be offered for sale. Vladimir Janković, the manager of Aqua park announced that the open competition for construction of complex of 11 swimming pools had been completed and he said that 41 companies had applied.

In addition to these 11 swimming pools, there will also be 21 toboggans and Belgrade will obtain famous funny “lazy river”. Those who are fearless will have their own entertainment called “Tsunami“ and “Aladdin’s lamp“.

The aqua city will be open 100 days a year, until the middle of September. Later, the complex will be covered for the purpose of broadening of the season. The second phase will include construction of numerous sports-recreation contents (indoor swimming pools, bawling room, skating rink) on surface of 2 ha.

There was much trouble about city planning documentation and permits, but, with the help of Turkish company Polin, an excellent project was elaborated. This summer, the citizens of Belgrade are invited to give 10 EUR in order to become richer for new experience.
