The signing of the franchise agreement between the French Accor Group and the Serbian Promont Group, whereby Hotel Fruske Terme will become the first Mövenpick hotel in our country, will put this spa complex on the tourism map of the world, stated Marko Cadez, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (CCIS).

Today, ahead of the signing of the franchise agreement between the two companies, Cadez pointed out that new investments in Fruske Terme would enable the complex on Fruska Gora to become one of the biggest investments in the joint tourism offer of the Open Balkans, but also an important asset for being awarded the organization of the specialized world expo Belgrade Expo 2027.

– The arrival of Accor Group to Serbia and their entry into Fruske Terme means putting this spa complex, one of the biggest and most beautiful ones in the region, on the tourism map of the world – Cadez says.

Accor Group employs 27,000 people, has 40 brands and 5,300 hotels in various corners of the world, and it is already present in Serbia with several brands, such as Hotel Mama Shelter and Mercure Belgrade Excelsior.

– Now, Accor is making a big entrance to Serbia. This is truly a big thing for the region, for Fruska Gora, but also for Belgrade and Novi Sad, which are just half an hour and 45 minutes away from here, respectively. I would like to invite all people from Serbia and the region to visit Fruske Terme, because it can be a phenomenal part of the joint tourism offer of the Open Balkans – Cadez says.

What’s specific for Fruske Terme, he says, is that the local Promont Group was initially a small family company, which has managed to turn one hotel, Premier Aqua, into the big complex Fruske Terme, to which not only guests from the region arrive today, but also from Europe and the whole world.

So far, over EUR 70 million has been invested in the Fruske Terme complex.
