Building lot formed for "national wholesale market" in Belgrade - Tender for construction works in December
Speaking of the National Wholesale Market project, Dragan Pusara, the CEO of public utility company Gradske Pijace in Belgrade, said that the issuing of the location permit was underway, meaning that the city planning and property issues had been completely solved, and added that the funds for that purpose had also been provided.
– We expect the Investment Agency to announce a tender for construction of the National Wholesale Market in December, and the tendering procedure should run parallel to the formation of the company's authorities, which will first have two members in the capital: the city of Belgrade and public utility company Gradske Pijace. Shortly after that, the company will be recapitalized, primarily by local self-governments from all around Serbia, which are interested in the construction of warehouses and logistics on their territories, and that would make the whole system complete - Pusara announced.
As he said, "in that way, the unfavorable structure of import will be substituted and a system of cooperation will be introduced".
- We hope that the company will be formed and that the works will be commenced already in March, as well as that the works will be finished in October or November 2011. That type of construction is very quick. A total of 10,400 square meters will be built for 60 traders in fruits and vegetables, as well as an infrastructure for 1,100 manufacturers and about 60,000 square meters – said Dragan Pusara. Most Important News
