“Green Business – An Opportunity to Save” eKapija’s New Special Edition Newsletter
It has long been believed that profit and environmental protection do not go together. That this is wrong is shown by companies whose stories you can find in our special edition newsletter “Green Business – An Opportunity to Save”.
These companies confirm on a daily basis that it is possible to realize economic goals while protecting the environment. How? With the help of renewable energy sources, recycling, energy efficiency and the use of waste in production.
We also looked into how much Serbia as a state facilitates green business, analyzed the possibilities for saving on resources, gave propositions for upgrading the system. We believe that, together with companies-leaders in their fields, we have shown that a different, green business, is not just possible, but also cost-effective.
In addition to four analytical articles, in which we presented the current topics, we also talked to those who are at the center of events.
Nenad Gulevski, Sales Director for West Balkans at Tetra Pak, says that their goal is to create the most sustainable food packaging in the world. We also talked about the two projects they are working on currently, which are tethered caps and a fiber-based barrier for the cardboard packaging.
Sales Director of Lafarge Serbia, Goran Kujovic, reveals whether investors in our country realize the importance of the implementation of green materials in construction and what the advantages of green concrete and cement compared to the traditional ones are. We also learned about a part of the plans of Lafarge which pertain to the use of fuel with reduced carbon emissions.
Ksenija Karic, Country General Manager of Schneider Electric, points out that digitization and automation of business and business processes, energy savings and CO2 emission reductions are the persistent demands of the time we live in and that we are all invited to upgrade the concept of our work or we will not survive in the market.
Tijana Koprivica, Chief Business Sustainability Officer at Delta Holding, talks about whether villages in Serbia could become oases of healthy and sustainable business operations and how important the digitization of agricultural production is. We learn that green building is Delta’s permanent orientation and in how many locations solar power plants are being built.
Nada Stamatovic, Corporate Communications & CSR, and Ivan Milicevic, Head of Innovation and Development of Nelt Group, explain how logistics and transport can be optimized to the end of having a lower impact on the environment. They also talk about the ways to reduce the “carbon footprint” and the sustainable operations of Nelt Group.
Nikola Maksimcuk, Head of Sales at Telemax, explains why this company, which has been successfully operating in weak and strong current electrical installations for twenty years now, has decided to expand its business to solar power plants. We also talked about the street furniture brand City Gecko, which has been winning over users worldwide.
The special section “In Focus” brings six stories of successful companies – Elnos Group, Xella Srbija, Hydrogen Technologies, MK Group, KLM, Technology International.
In the section “Energy Efficiency”, the following companies have presented their solutions and innovations: Elektrovat, Signify, SGS, Miele, Trox.
Circular economy is a relatively new concept, but not for the companies Jugopan, Bozic i sinovi, CirEkon and EcoMet, which explain why there is no future without circular economy.
We have also presented the innovations and the offer of the companies Alfa Laval, ABB, Dornier Group.
