Slovenian Perutnina Ptuj group is interested in taking over Pancevo-based Agroziv. Since nobody answered the public call, which was closed on October 28, the Slovenian group expects the price to be lowered.

With the collected information from the public call documentation, based on the analysis of the detailed information provided to Perutnina Ptuj by the bankruptcy manager, as well as with the knowledge of the business environment in Serbia, Slovenians will check the business potential of the property of Agroziv and other important business aspects and make the decision on potential participation in the public call.

Serbian company Agroziv in bankruptcy has been trying for a long time to sell its property and pay its debts to creditors. The entire assets of the company, the value of which is estimated at 35.4 million euros (3.7 billion dinars) by bankruptcy manager Stevan Moldavije, will be put at the disposal of those interested in the acquisition in the next round of the auction, while bids will be opened in public on December 2 in Pancevo.

By putting up the property of once successful and respectful company for sale, the bankruptcy manager will try to repay the debts of nearly 14 million euros (1.5 billion dinars), with the wish that the new owner stays in the same production business and keeps all the employees.

- There is no doubt that Serbian market is of exceptional importance to us, which we have already proved by intensively investing in the development of production system in PP Topiko - Dr. Roman Glaser, the Chairman of the Managing Board and the Director General of Perutnina Ptuj, commented on the intention of the company and added that the company was considering the possibility of expansion of the whole production system of Perutnina Ptuj to Serbia. In that way, Perutnina Ptuj group has ensured continuation of the acquisition growth.
