“Devastating and Wonderful Beauty of Creation” – Kustendorf Festival from May 6-10 in Drvengrad

This year’s Kustendorf, under the slogan “Devastating and Wonderful Beauty of Creation”, will be held from May 6 to 10 in Drvengrad on Mokra Gora, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.

At a press conference at the Government of Serbia, the minister of culture and information, Maja Gojkovic, pointed out that the audience that considered attending the festival a pilgrimage was attracted by the wonderful combination of youth and experience, that is, that young authors got their first opportunity there to show their skills and knowledge and talk to the most prominent names of Serbian and global cinematography.

– I want us to enjoy for a few days this wonderful magic that Kustendorf has been providing to all those who love films for 15 years now and it will be my great pleasure for us to continue with this devastating and wonderful beauty of creation of film this year or at the beginning of the next one – Gojkovic said.

The director Emir Kusturica, the founder of the festival, estimated that Kustendorf was being held at a time when nothing was as it had been and at which we constantly witnessed a fracture and a breakdown of the soul and added that the festival had begun as and had remained an artistic asylum of sorts.

Film has always been a sanctuary that stops the flow of time – Kusturica said, according to the portal of the Government of Serbia.
