Belgrade to Build Pontoon Network on the Danube for River Public Transport and Tourist Boats – Tender for Construction of Another One on the Right Bank Published

The Secretariat for Economy of the City of Belgrade has published the tender for the construction of a city pontoon on the right bank of the Danube.

According to the technical specification, the pontoon will be located on a parcel in the municipality of Stari Grad.

Let us remind that, in August last year, the city already published the tender for the construction of a pontoon on the right bank of the Danube.

The job is worth RSD 31.6 million without the VAT and has been awarded to Shipyard Kladovo doo, the only company to make a bid, and the agreement was signed in late September.

The tendering documentation of the new tender, as well as the previous one, says that nautical tourism, which doesn’t only entail large passenger boats, but also river yachts, both foreign and local, is developing at an accelerated pace in Belgrade as a city with a population of two million.

– As part of the creation of the conditions for the further development of public line river transport and the development of the offer of tours of city sightseeing from the rivers, the City Assembly has reached the Decision on the adoption of the proposition of the project of a public-private partnership for the carrying out of public line river transport of passengers on Belgrade’s waterways, as well as the Decision on the public transport of passengers through line sailing in the territory of the city – the document says.

The tender expires on May 17.
