Alpine builds Pirot-Dimitrovgrad highway section on Corridor 10 - Works worth 30 million euros

Austrian Alpine has won the contract for the construction of Pirot-Dimitrovgrad highway section on Corridor 10, worth 30 million euros.

- The contract envisages the works on the route 15.7 km long, comprising Pirot(east)-Sukovo section and Sukovo-Dimitrovgrad section with bridges and tunnels, and both sections should be built within 18 months - people at Corridor 10 company announced.

The plan is that the EBRD also finances the construction of the section from Crvena Reka to Ciflik, which will increase the total value of the highway construction works financed by the EBRD to about 150 million euros.

The procedure of selection of the most favorable bidder for Pirot(east)-Dimitrovgrad section has been conducted in accordance with the ICB (international competitive building) procedure and the procedures referred to in the World Bank's Guidelines (Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits).
