The vice president of MK Group, Aleksandar Kostic, announced at the Kopaonik Business Forum new investments of this company in the agrarian sector and renewable energy sources.

– MK Group remains in agriculture and food industry. I have to point out that, even without state subsidies for sugar, which the countries in the region have, the company Sunoko is the biggest net exporter of sugar in Europe. In the past period, we have invested a million and a half euros in a sugar beet research center, and our future plans have to do with opening an alcohol factory – Kostic said.

When asked about investments in the upcoming period, Kostic said that he saw a great potential in renewable energy sources.

– MK Group will continue investing in wind power and the agri-solar project. We are currently working on the realization of projects of the production of electricity from wind power, worth EUR 300 million – he said, as announced by MK Group.

The press release adds that the company is continuously investing in the development of operations, thereby generating a strong value for the local economies and communities it operates in.
