Public Debt of Serbia in January 51.8% of GDP – Budget Deficit RSD 8.1 Billion

The public debt of Serbia amounted to around EUR 30.58 billion at the end of January this year, which amounted to 51.8% of the gross domestic product (GDP), announced the Ministry of Finance.

At the end of 2021, the public debt was EUR 30.13 billion, that is, 56.5% of the GDP.

The public debt of Serbia at the end of 2020 amounted to EUR 26.67 billion, or 57% of the GDP.


In January this year, Serbia had a state budget deficit of RSD 8.1 billion. Revenues were collected in the amount of RSD 123.9 billion, of which tax revenues amounted to RSD 113.2 billion.
