Increase in Production of Coal by the End of March – Sufficient Quantities of Gas and Oil, Crisis Plan Exists as Well
At the session, the situation in the gas sector in Serbia was considered as well and it was concluded that the supply of the local market is stable, whereas the delivery of heating energy to users of central heating is carried out without major problems.
The special adviser to the minister of mining and energy, Petar Stanojevic, stated on RTS that, when it comes to gas supply, the market in Serbia was fully secure thanks to the agreement with Gazprom and added that there was no fear that the oil suppliers will stop supplying oil.
He said that Serbia had reserves of diesel and petrol fuel for two months, of mazut for five to six months and of kerosine for about four months, provided that the supply is not possible, which is not the case at the moment, as announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.
– There are also crisis plans when it comes to getting oil and gas and we are far from activating those plans, because there is not a single indicator that we are entering a crisis state – he said. – Oil arrives to Serbia from the Middle East, from Iraq, and that direction is not jeopardized by the conflict in Ukraine, and we also have our own reserves of oil and oil products and there is no indicator that the crisis plan needs to be activated – he said.
