Stellantis' financial report states that the Fiat brand will become completely electric in Europe as of 2027.

In line with that strategy, the offer by the Italian brand will be enriched by another, still unrevealed electric model in 2022 or 2023. The financial report does not offer any other details about Stellantis' future plans for the Fiat brand.

The company states that, in 2021, the 500e was the best-selling EV in the A-segment, which are mostly small city cars, in 12 countries around the world. Global sales for small EVs have reached around 44,000 units.

Last year, Fiat boss Olivier Francois spoke about plans for the brand's future.

- We are exploring the territory of sustainable mobility for all: this is our biggest project. Between 2025 and 2030, our product line will gradually become only electric. This will be a radical change for Fiat - said Francois.

In order for increased electrification to happen, Stellantis will invest over USD 35 billion by 2025 in electrification. Part of the money will go into transforming the Mirafiori factory in Turin, Italy, into a production center for electric vehicles. The famous carmaker is also investing money in a location in Termoli, intended for the production of lithium-ion batteries.

Fiat's factory in Kragujevac has not been mentioned.
