What the Plan for Future Prokop Railway Station Building Envisages – VIP Salons, Electronic Fare Devices, Sale of Airline Tickets, Outpatient Clinic…

The Ministry of Environmental Protection has notified the public that the Serbian Railways Infrastructure company, which is the carrier of the project of the construction of the railway building with a parking lot within the complex of the Belgrade Center Railway Station (Prokop), has filed a request for deliberating on the necessity of the preparation of a study of the assessment of the environmental impact of that project.

The request, prepared by the company ECOlogica URBO from Kragujevac, presents, in more detail, the preliminary design for the station building with a parking lot, which was prepared in September by PFB Design doo Belgrade.

According to the document, the railway station building will be a ground-floor facility vertically connected with the lower station square, platforms, underground passages and the future subway line.

Arrival and departure corridors, two waiting rooms, two outlets, two info desks and 15 counters will be located within it.

Devices for electronic purchase of subway fares will be installed in two locations.

The station will also have an exchange office, an outpatient clinic and a fire service, a call center, an office of the Tourism Center of Belgrade, a counter of the Auto Moto Association of Serbia (AMSS), a rent-a-car service, a taxi station and even a counter for the sale of airline tickets.

Two outlets will also be located there, as well as two VIP salons.

When it comes to parking, the necessary number of the parking spaces for the station building is close to 91, and 88 parking spaces are provided within the planned outdoor parking lot.
