Patent Co. Becomes Part of RWA Group
The Austrian company RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG has acquired the Serbian animal feed producer Patent Co. with the seat in Misicevo. Following the approval by of the competent anti-monopoly body, the deal was finalized on January 31, 2022.
RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG is an Austrian stock exchange-listed company with the seat in Korneuburg near Vienna. It is a wholesale and service company of warehouse cooperatives in Austria. At the same time, it is an investment group with more than 40 subsidiaries in Austria and select neighboring East European countries. Through the strategic alliance with BayWa AG, RWA is part of an international group for trade and services. As a successful conglomerate, it is active in five fields of operation, agriculture, energy, home and garden, building materials and technology. RWA currently employs 2,300 workers. In 2021, it realized an income of around EUR 2.7 billion.
Optimal portfolio addition
RWA Group is deeply rooted in Austrian agriculture. With Garant Tiernahrung and Agromed, it is very well positioned in the segment of animal feed and animal feed additives in the Austrian and international markets.
With three production locations in Aschach (Upper Austria), Poechlarn (Lower Austria) and Graz (Styria), Garant is an important market player in the field of animal feed mixes for all animals, including fish.
Agromed is well represented in the world market with animal feed additives.
From now on, the internationally established company for the production of animal feed Patent Co., with the seat in Misicevo, will work synergistically with Garant and Agromed in the sense of further innovations and potentials of growth, as well as the potential expansion of the production and the portfolio.
