Complex of General Hospital in Uzice to Get New 60,000 m2 – Reconstruction and Extension of Health Center Worth EUR 30 Million Planned

The construction of new facilities and the reconstruction or demolition of existing ones are planned within the General Hospital in Uzice, so that the future complex consists of 20 facilities, with a total gross floor area of around 103.500 m2, with 1,020 planned hospital beds.

The General Hospital in Uzice is now a complex of 27 facilities. The total number of beds in all sections is 740, and the total gross floor area of this hospital complex is around 43,500 m2. The facilities were built in various periods, according to the purposes and the expansion of the hospital’s capacities. The complex features the declared immovable cultural good of extraordinary importance – Partisans’ Hospital.


The total area covered by the urban project, prepared by the Institute for Architecture and Urban Planning of Serbia, is 4 ha 61 a 59 m2.

As the director of the Health Center of Uzice, Milos Bozovic, pointed out earlier, the value of the entire project of the reconstruction and extension of the General Hospital is around 25 to 30 million euros.
