The City Administration for Construction Land and Investments of Novi Sad has published the tender for the first phase of the construction of a track and field stadium with a part of the accompanying infrastructure and a substation with a generator.

The designed facility is located in the place of the former Jugovicevo barracks. The location of the future hall and stadium is bordered by Vojvode Stepe Blvd to the southeast, the future Bate Brkica Street to the west, Olge Hadzic Street to the north and Draska Redjepa Street to the northeast.

The area of said cadaster parcels is around 84,545.00 m2.

The project encompasses the construction of a modern track and field stadium with nine racing tracks, double fields for the pole vault on both sides, fields for the long jump and the triple jump on both sides, the javelin throw field on both sides, three shot put fields, one safety net for the discus and hammer throws and an interior grass field.

Also planned is the construction of north, east and south stands without chairs. Within the earth works, the plan is to establish the foundations for floodlights, scoreboards and eight public lighting poles along the traffic route to the east. A fence is planned along the same traffic route.

The track and field stadium is designed on the east side of the hall, that is, the west stand of the stadium is within the hall building. The gross area of the stadium is around 17,800 m2. The capacity of the stadium is around 4,000 seats. On the western stand, there are around 2,400 seats (the construction of the western stand will be part of the construction of the hall), and on the south, east and north stands there will room for around 1,700 people and five spaces for people with disabilities.

The total estimated value is RSD 305,000,000, without the VAT.
