Owner of Farmakom MB to Sell 50% Stake in Politika

As Nova.rs learns, businessman and owner of Farmakom MB concern from Sabac, Miroslav Bogicevic, is selling its 50% stake in the media company Politika novine i magazini (PNM). He confirmed this for our portal and said that the transaction had not been made and that the first one to pay the money would become the new owner.

Bogicevic, who is in house arrest, wearing an electronic ankle bracelet, has decided, he says, to sell his 50% stake in Politika novine i magazini. He claims that there are several interested companies, but that he hasn’t yet sold his stake to anyone.

– The first one to pay the money will get my 50% stake in Politika and there’s no question there. I can’t wait anymore either – Bogicevic says.

When asked who the interested purchasers are and at what price he is selling his stake, Bogicevic did not want to answer.

– This is all done by my lawyer, I’m not familiar with all the details and I will be informed when we see each other. You know, I’m wearing an electronic ankle bracelet and I can’t have talks, and I don’t want us to talk on the phone – Bogicevic explains.

When asked whether the Rajic brothers, who bought Novosti, have expressed an interest, he claims that they haven’t so far.

– There are plenty of those who are interested, including those from abroad, from Croatia, Austria… I’ve asked my lawyer to tell me which offers are serious, which means, with defined payment dynamics, and I don’t care about anything else. I only care about the payment. I paid a lot for all of it, Novosti, Politika and Dnevnik in Novi Sad. I paid EUR 50 million for all of it – he said.

Bogicevic bought a 50% stake in PNM in 2012 from the German publisher WAZ. He carried out the purchase through the company East Media Group. The remaining 50% of PNM is owned by the state, that is, the company Politika a.d., in which the state has a 90% stake.
