Plans of Belgrade’s Airport – construction of hotel and business center

Airport "Beograd" had realized financial profit of 527.6 million CSD in 2005, which was double more than in 2004, said director general of the company Nebojša Nedeljković.

The main investments in Belgrade’s Airport in 2005, according to Nedeljković, are completion of the building of TErminal 2 and complete reconstruction of runway.

He announced that all works on departure Terminal 2 should be completed by the end of the year, as well as the works on introduction of category 3 B on runway, which will enable landing and taking off of airplanes in all weather conditions.

Reconstruction of runway cost about €3m and the construction of TErminal 2 cost about €16m instead of projected €18m.

Nedeljković announced "the real expansion" of Belgrade’s airport in 2006, which includes construction of cargo terminal, hotel, business center, organization of platform A and construction of new business building, which airport "Beograd" lacks since 1962.

According to his words, the negotiations with company "Retail" on construction of office space at the airport are in the final phase.
