In a telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and Serbia, Vladimir Putin and Aleksandar Vucic, about the deliveries of Russian gas, it was estimated that “a stable system has been established, which will ensure a stable heating and power supply to Serbian households and industry,” the Kremlin announced.

– A special focus was given to deliveries of Russian natural gas to Serbia. The presidents noted that system-wide work has been organized on that track by the two countries’ agencies, which makes it possible to ensure stable provision of heat and energy to Serbian households and industry – the press release says.

It is added that, as a follow-up to the talks held in Sochi on November 25, 2021, the leaders continued their discussion of the current state and prospects for cooperation in various areas, including the implementation of joint energy projects.

The leaders exchanged greetings on the forthcoming New Year and Christmas and agreed to maintain contacts and continue coordination at different levels, the announcement adds.

The cabinet of the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, previously announced that Putin had assured Vucic that Serbia will adhere to the agreement and that Serbia will have sufficient quantities of gas this winter.
