Potential Opening of New Production Facility of Yugoimport SDPR in Razanj Announced
Vucic told the media that Razanj was a small municipality with around 7,000 residents according to the current estimates. However, according to him, this makes the area not attractive enough for bigger investments by foreign companies.
– What’s most important is for all of us in Razanj to talk to Yugoimport if possible, just like we did in Kursumlija, where people are satisfied to work on assembling Mali Milos. We should see what we can do. This Sunday, we are having a meeting of the entire military industry in Nis, to see what we can do. I’m thinking a location like Rudna Glava, or villages near Blace, where you can bring over Yumco and have jobs there, possibilities for operations, whereby they could count on being able to make uniforms for the military the police, postal workers and so on – Vucic said.
Regarding the potential investment, Vucic said that “it seems to me that Yugoimport SDPR will have bigger orders from the Serbian army and guaranteed work”, so he also assumes that there will be a need to open new production capacities.
– One such facility, especially due to the presence of the metalworking industry, could be opened in Razanj. That would be a long-term salvation for Razanj – Vucic concluded.
There was also talk about the construction of a sewer system, due to the losses in the waterworks, which amount to around 50%, and the construction of a sanitary sewer system and a waste water treatment facility.
