PUE Beogradski metro i voz Signs Agreement with French Company Alstom
– The purpose of the agreement is to set the steps that need to be taken to the end of signing the necessary agreements between the parties to the end of designing and building the Transport System of the Belgrade Subway Project – it is said.
The agreement was signed by the director of the PUE Beogradski metro i voz, Stanko Kantar, and the director of commercial development of Alstom, Andrieux Nicolas. The signing was attended by the CEO of Alstom, Henri Poupart-Lafarge, and the senior vice president for public affairs of Alstom, Philippe Delleur.
As added, the signatories are the Secretariat for Public Transport of the City Administration of Belgrade, the PUE Beogradski metro i voz and Alstom Transport S.A. corporation.
Let us remind that, in January, the joint memorandum on the construction of the Belgrade Subway was signed by the Government of Serbia, the City of Belgrade, the Chinese company PowerChina and the French companies Alstom and Egis Rail.
According to earlier agreements, the French side will be in charge of electro-mechanics, and the Chinese side will carry out the construction works.
Earlier this year, the citizens had the opportunity to vote for one of the four subway designs proposed by Alstom.
Philippe Delleur said at the time that the most modern technology would be used in the construction.
– Compared to traditional ways of construction, we will use somewhat different models in order to achieve maximum energy savings and the optimal use of the infrastructure to be built. The design of the subway will also be subject to the most modern methods – Delleur said earlier.
