The amendments to the Law on Expropriation will go in the direction of the extension of the deadlines, which the citizens consider too short, and the setting of prices, which they have complained about, the minister of mining and energy of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, stated today.

Guesting on TV Prva, she said that the law would be amended “in the sense that the deadlines, which the citizens consider too short, will now be extended”.

– There’s a deadline period of five days for an expropriation to be resolved, which will now certainly be extended, and the market price, which the citizens have complained about, will be addressed. Some mutual solution always has to be found – Mihajlovic pointed out.

Let us remind that the minister of finance of Serbia, Sinisa Mali, previously stated that he expected the amendments to the Law on Expropriation to be on the agenda of the government’s session scheduled for Thursday.
