AUL and DP World Sign Agreement on Continuation of Investments in Port of Novi Sad
AUL has announced that the value of this development project is EUR 28 million and that it is a continuation of the investments of the operator in the Port of Novi Sad, in line with the Agreement on the Execution of Port Activities that AUL and DP World signed in 2019.
According to the agreement, while carrying out these activities, the operator will invest funds in the infrastructure, suprastructure and equipment, and special attention will be paid to modernizing the mechanization and the port management process.
The works will be carried out in two phases and they also encompass the reconstruction of the traffic routes at the port and the existing wharf wall, as well as the construction of a new wharf wall.
Following the signing, the director of AUL, Vuk Perovic, stated that the Port of Novi Sad, thanks to its favorable geographic position, had an important role in the port sector in Serbia.
He added that he expected the planned investments to contribute to the growth of the volume of the reloading at the port in Novi Sad, as well as the industrial activities in the back of that port.
On behalf of DP World a.d. Novi Sad, the agreement was signed by the company’s CEO, Claudiu Negreanu.
