The company
Mladost has opened a new facility with automated production of roof tiles in Leskovac, in which EUR 30 million was invested, and 50 workers were employed, so Mladost now has around 250 employees in Leskovac.
– Around 55 million roof tiles a year are produced here, and the new investment is around EUR 30 million and another 50 new employees will work here, along with the 200 that Mladost has in our city. This facility is characterized by the latest production technology, which has not been implemented anywhere in Europe in the past 12 years. The neatness and the cleanliness of the facility can be compared to that of a pharmacy, and robots are included in each production segment – said the mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanovic.
According to the general director of Mladost, Milos Terzic, under whose aegis factories of energy blocks in Mala Plana, Valsotince and Stalac operate, what’s important when it comes to the quality of roof tiles is the primary processing. It begins at a mill with a volume of 90 tons and goes through a long process where clay ground to 0.6 mm is produced. A de-dusting system worth EUR 200,000 has been installed as well, so there is no dust, because it ends up in filters and is then brought back to the process.
– The construction of a photovoltaic power plant is planned. We already use gas and, when it comes to pollution, that is the best solution – Terzic said.
