Tender for Designing and Construction of Highway from Raca to Bijeljina Opens – Value of Works Estimated at EUR 130 Million

The company Autoputevi Republike Srpske has opened the public invitation for the designing and construction of the Raca-Bijeljina highway section.

The estimated value of the procurement is BAM 260,000,000 (EUR 130 million) without the VAT, and the location of the works is the northern part of Republika Srpksa, encompassed by the space defined by the adopted parcellation plan.

The total length of the Bijeljina-Raca section is around 21 kilometers, and the designed elements of the section are: Bijeljina North Interchange with the toll booth; the frontal toll booth at the beginning of the section; the new customs terminal on a part of the starting route; the maintenance base; a lay-by of the type of a bilateral supply station of around 5 km; bridges, viaducts, underpasses, overpasses and other structures in line with the parcellation plan and the preliminary design.

The main works on the projects include, but are not limited to: the construction of the bed road and the lane structure, the irrigation and water treatment system, facilities, electrical and mechanical installations, buildings, traffic signalization and equipment, green areas, interchanges and toll booths with the toll collection system, compatible with the existing system on the network of highways in RS.


The completion deadline period is 36 months from the possession of the site.

The plan is to build a highway with four lanes, two in each direction, with a median strip and one emergency lane on each side. Also, the chosen contractor should also design and build an interchange and connected roads, as well as other facilities covered by the project task.

Bids may be submitted by December 27.
