(President of the Executive Board of Halkbank a.d. Belgrade Kenan Bozkurt) Halkbank a.d. Beograd, after successful cooperation with the Serbian Foundation for Entrepreneurship (SEF) on the project of lending to companies affected by the corona virus pandemic, is once again signing the Partnership Agreement. This time, the focus is on young companies and agricultural farms, to which the Bank provides favorable conditions for improving their business development. HALKBANK a.d. Belgrade, together with SEF, presented a special line of start-up loans aimed at newly established micro, small and medium enterprises as well as individual agricultural farms not older than 2 years.

With this project Halkbank a.d. Beograd and SEF wanted to help start-up companies that started working in the previous 2 years, during the COVID-19 pandemic period, to become more competitive. In this way, young companies are provided with support in their innovative and competitive ideas, which will certainly make them more capable of providing, preserving and creating new employment opportunities for people in Serbia. The support initiative includes the offer of working capital loans and investment loans with a repayment period of up to 36 and 60 months, a grace period of 3 and 6 months, while the maximum loan amount is up to EUR 30,000. Additionally, within this project, start-up companies were provided with instructions and support training that will help them develop their business.

– We highly value innovation in our business, and that is what young companies bring. With this cooperation, we support businesses that have excellent ideas to thrive – said the President of the Executive Board of Halkbank a.d. Belgrade Kenan Bozkurt.

The common goal of Halkbank and SEF is to support the newly formed small and medium enterprises in this period, to which Halkbank is traditionally oriented, as well as the segment of agro clients that are very important for the Bank.

– We are pleased to be the first bank in Serbia to start cooperation with SEF with loans for maintaining liquidity and working capital, and now the first bank in cooperation with the Serbian Entrepreneurship Foundation to give start-up companies the opportunity to show their full potential. We hope that by supporting young businesses we will increase the competitiveness of small businesses – added Kenan Bozkurt, President of the Executive Board of Halkbank a.d.

– As part of a project funded by the KfW Development Bank with grant funds provided by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, and within the German-Serbian Development Cooperation, SEF provides support to banks in Serbia to enable start-ups and farmers access to funding sources. After the successful implementation of the program to support companies and farmers affected by the Covid 19 pandemic by Halkbank a.d. Belgrade, we are pleased to enter a new development program with your bank intended for start-up clients – said Aleksandar Grabovac, manager of the Serbian Foundation for Entrepreneurship.
