Nestle bought Greek company Delta Ice Cream
Swiss concern for production of groceries Nestle announced that it had bought company Delta Ice Cream S.A. from Greek Delta Holdings S.A. for €240m.
According to the announcement, Delta Ice Cream S.A. is the leading manufacturer of ice cream in the Balkans with the annual turnover of €122m and the factories in Greece, Serbia and Montenegro, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Romania.
According to earlier announcements in the papers, Delta Ice Cream S.A. "covers" more than half of the ice cream market in SCG.
German business media point out that, in this way, Nestle intends to strenghten its position on the growing ice cream market in the Balkans.
