Republic Geodetic Authority Implements Automated System of Registering Requests – Increased Legal Security

Within the implementation of the new information system of the Real Estate Cadaster Office, the Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) has implemented an automated system of registering requests. They say that this will remove a major part of the past irregularities and mistakes which occurred as a consequence of the human factor, whereas the citizens’ security regarding the management of real estate is raised to a much higher level.

– The Republic Geodetic Authority (RGA) recommends to citizens and all users of the services of public notaries, courts, geodetic organizations and other professional users of the RGA to insist on getting this number which is generated automatically in a second, because it is the only proof and legal security that the procedure of determining the rights is complete and that the process of being listed in the real estate cadaster has started. This number is also used by citizens for all other electronic services of the RGA, such as the following of the status of a subject, the obtaining of the decision on the electronic bulletin board etc. If, for whatever reason, a subject or a professional user do not send complete information pertaining to the property in question to the RGA, the system will automatically return the package as incomplete, whereby the citizens and the economy are protected from misuse, irregularities and errors – the website says.

The reason for implementing such a system is the fact that the past manner of registering the requests by public notaries, courts, geodetic organizations and other professional users of the RGA led to the fact that the necessary data that unequivocally identify the property in question, such as the number of the cadaster parcel, the number of facilities, or the number of a part of the facility, as well as the cadaster municipality, would sometimes be omitted, which would lead to errors and jeopardize the citizens’ legal security, but also slow down the process of being listed in the real estate cadaster, they add.

– This negatively affected the citizens and the economy, but also the RGA itself, which had to manually enter those elements into the system, which meant additional work and time required from the employees and the possibility of errors. Thanks to these new digital processes and controls, as well as the new information system of the Real Estate Cadaster Office, such errors are not possible anymore, so the RGA will solve the requests for the registration of rights in the real estate cadaster more quickly and efficiently – they say.
