The construction of the highway that will connect Sandzak municipalities with Belgrade, but also with Sarajevo (the highway from Pozega to the Montenegrin border – eKapija’s comment) must be started at the end of next year at the latest, said the minister of construction, transport and infrastructure of Serbia, Tomislav Momirovic, while visiting the works on the Novi Pazar-Tutin road, the City Administration of Novi Pazar announced.

– That road is the most important for those three municipalities, the city of Novi Pazar and the municipalities of Tutin and Sjenica. Of course, I’m not underestimating its importance for Arilje and Ivanjica – Momirovic said.

The highway that will pass through Sandzak will be the biggest investment in the traffic infrastructure in Serbia.

– When you invest that much money in the section from Pozega to Boljare, when you work on the most inaccessible terrain, it’s truly something. That road will do a lot to bring Novi Pazar, Tutin and Sjenica, and of course, also Arilje and Ivanjica and other municipalities and towns, closer to Cacak, Belgrade and other parts of Serbia – said minister Momirovic.
