The international expert conference “How to carry out a sustainable transition in the gas sector of the Western Balkans?”, which aims to look into the current events in the global gas market and the future of that energy source, will be held on October 29.

The organizers are the Energija Balkana portal and the Association for a Sustainable Energy Transition.

– The ways of overcoming the current events in the gas market will be discussed at the conference. There will also be talk about the future of natural gas as an energy source and industrial raw material through the prism of a green energy transition, whose advocates are trying to exclude the “blue fuel” from the future energy mix – the editor of Energija Balkana, Jelica Putnikovic, stated for Tanjug.

It has been announced that the gathering will involve representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Energy of Serbia and Srbijagas, which are the sponsors of the conference, representatives of Hungary, countries along the TurkStream route and the eponymous company, energy experts and business people.
