(Illustration) Covid passes would have greater effects if we had been given time to prepare, and now that they are implemented, they should be implemented for everyone, said Georgi Genov, the chairman of the Business Association of Hotel and Restaurant Industry of Serbia (HORES).

He pointed out on TV Pink that indoor catering facilities had been given only two days to prepare for the control of Covid passes.

Genov pointed out that it would be better to introduce QR code scanning devices in front of indoor catering facilities than to have Covid controllers or authorized staff do it inside the facilities.

– We have not prepared, because we only had two days to do so. We have not been educated how to implement those new measures – he said and added that, if Covid passes must be implemented, they should be implemented for everyone and not just for indoor catering facilities.

Genov said that the hospitality and hotel sector had been campaigning in favor of there being no alternative to vaccination for a year.

– We are working on having the staff vaccinated at over 80%. It’s the only way to move forward – he said.
