Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Mining and Energy Zorana Mihajlovic said today that Serbia had enough power and gas to supply the citizens and that the state would do everything to secure energy stability in the conditions of the energy crisis in the world.
– The most expensive electricity is the one that’s not there, and our citizens will have enough power and gas at guaranteed prices. Another important question are prices, especially gas prices, and that is what’s being negotiated now in the process of the signing of a new long-term agreement. EPS, as well as Srbijagas, will talk about the prices for the industry with companies individually. Those prices are not low at all and that needs to be kept in mind – Mihajlovic said on RTS, as announced on the ministry’s website.
She said that crises were something that people need to prepare for and that the current energy crisis, caused, among other things, by the accelerated growth following the pandemic and the great demand for energy sources, was neither the first nor last.
