Flights from Kraljevo to Vienna Renewed – Seasonal Line to Tivat Possible Too
– Our goal is to enable a direct connection with Europe for passengers from central and western Serbia, to make their travel quicker and simpler, so that they wouldn’t have to travel to Belgrade and Nis. Last summer, seasonal flights to Thessaloniki were established, and now the line to Vienna is being renewed and I hope that it will be useful to the citizens from this part of Serbia – said Mihailo Zdravkovic, the director of the Airports of Serbia.
The flights from this airport near Kraljevo are of great importance for the entire Raska and Moravica districts. This part of Serbia is rich with extraordinary tourist locations, and tourists choose them for their proximity to the airport, because that makes their travel much easier.
– This is of great importance for all people who live in this area. In addition to the tourist aspect, the business people and the economy of this area benefit greatly as well. In addition to passengers, a quicker and easier flow of goods can be secured as well. Along with the construction of modern highways, the proximity of the airport is very important for the development of the city of Cacak, which thereby becomes the transport hub of the Western Serbia – Vladan Milic, the deputy mayor of Cacak, stated for RINA.
The line from the Morava Airport to Vienna was first established on December 17, 2019. Next summer, there’s a possibility of introducing a line of seasonal flights between the Morava Airport in Ladjevci and Tivat.
– The line between Tivat and Nis did great, so there has been talk during the conversation with the president of the municipality of Tivat about the airport in Kraljevo as well. We hope that an interest will be found for someone to operate this route. We haven’t had any concrete announcements yet, nor has anything been confirmed – said Zdravkovic.
The terminal building of the airport in Ladjevci is fully equipped. To the right are four check-in counters, followed by passport and customs control. Around 30 workers, who previously went through training in Nis, where they acquired the necessary work experience, were employed at the very opening. One part of the airport is a military airport, whereas the other part, where the terminal was built, is the civilian airport Morava, which is located in Tavnik.
