Knowledge Factory opened - ComTrade hosts biggest IT event in Serbia until September 10

Aside from employing about 1,300 people, 1,200 of whom are software engineers, and the fact that the average salary in the company amounts to about EUR 1,200, ComTrade will also buy a renowned computer faculty soon.

- Our aim is to provide future students with the latest study methods, internship in large companies around the world, and employment after graduation. Believe it or not, the current income from service programming in Serbia amounts to USD 140m, and that is why I personally think that, if the critical mass of those willing to give the priority to youth, knowledge and talent is created, software can very easily become the strongest export product of the region – the company's owner Veselin Jevrosimovic said on the occasion of opening of educational and business event Knowledge Factory.

The second Knowledge Factory was officially opened today at ComTrade technology center by Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska, and all the guests were also addressed by Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas and Minister of Economy and Regional Development Mladjan Dinkic.

This is the biggest regional IT event that gathers the representatives of public and private sector at one place and stimulates public debate on the most important issues in that field.

This year's Knowledge Factory puts the main focus on business software solutions for various branches of economy because this field is the one in which local companies and public institutions have a great potential for growth and development. Prior to September 10, 2010, in addition to its own solutions for clients, ComTrade will also present the solutions of its global partners, with which it intensively cooperates in the realization of business goals.

- ComTrade's retail network expands to three continents, about 550 of its engineers work for companies in the EU and the USA, and their software was bought by Nokia, PlayTech and many other large companies in 2009. Partners like HP and IBM have increased the software orders by over 25% - ComTrade's owner reminded the present
