MOL opened first gas station in Serbia

Hungarian Petroleum Company MOL has opened the first gas station in Serbia – in Belgrade in Višnjička Street. It will employ 30 people. Director General of MOL in Serbia and Montenegro, Saša Trišić, said that MOL had invested €350,000 in reconstruction of former "Beopetrol’s" station, whereas the plan for the next year was that, along with that gas station, the car wash and liquid gas pump be built. He said that the plan was that another 8 gas stations be opened all around Serbia and another 10 gas stations in 2006. Trišić added that the gas stations would be built in the cities that have over 50,000 citizens and are settled along "Corridor 10". MOL already has gas station in Horgoš, but it waits for the opening of border crossin. Two locations in Novi Sad are also in the pipeline. The new gas stations will receive euro-diesel from MOL and other fuels from NIS. So far, MOL has bought refineries in Slovakia and Romania, it has 25% share in Croatian INA and it is also interested in privatization of NIS.
